The Past Tense: Quá khứ đơn
A. Cấu trúc: 

Tobe : S + was / were 

Động từ thường: S + V-ed / V2 + O

B. Cách thêm "ed"

– Thêm “ed” vào sau động từ: watch – watched / turn – turned

* Chú ý khi thêm đuôi “-ed” vào sau động từ.

+ Tận cùng là “e” -> thêm “d”: type – typed

+ Có 1 âm tiết, 1 nguyên âm + 1 phụ âm -> nhân đôi phụ âm cuối rồi thêm “-ed”: stop – stopped

NGOẠI LỆ: commit – committed/ travel – travelled/ prefer – preferred

+ Động từ tận cùng là “y”

– 1 nguyên âm + y (a,e,i,o,u), thêm “ed”: play – played/ stay – stayed

– Phụ âm + y : đổi “y” thành “i + ed”: study – studied/ cry – cried

C. Dấu hiệu :

– Yesterday (hôm qua)
- Last night: tối qua
- Last week: tuần trước
- Last month: tháng trước
- Last year: năm ngoái
- Ago: Cách đây. 
- Two hours ago: cách đây 2 giờ
- Two weeks ago: cách đây 2 ngày
- When: khi (trong câu kể)
D. Các công thức khác: 

1. Used to + V bare = đã từng … 

Ví dụ: When I was 14 years old, I used to swim 100 meters per minute.

2. Be used to + V_ing/ Noun = quen với … 

Ví dụ: He is used to chatting with his friends every day.

3. Get used to + V_ing/ Noun = quen (dần ) vớI … 

Ví dụ: He got used to his new life.

4. Be used for + V_ing = được dùng để … 

Ví dụ: A knife is used for cutting (a food, vegetable, meat, … ) by the cooker.
5. Be used to + V bare = được dùng để … 

Ví dụ: This is the knife which was used to kill this woman. 

6. Use to = not … any more = no longer 

Ex: He used to smoke 10 cigarettes a day = He no longer smokes 10 cigarettes a day = He does not smoke 10 cigarettes anymore.

Wed - 17th April It's not easy to reveal all your emotions, even with yourself. Have you ever tried to hide away from the crowd and pretend to tell them that nothing is gonna happen? Have you ever just expected to run and live in a different country and start again? Or have you ever paused for a minute just to notice how you really are today? Oh, don't get me wrong. I am not questioning. Though they are just kinds of question forms but not absolutely like that. I am trying to control myself these days. And I am inactive to keep on track.
